Chapter 997 Four Corners Area
Our Next Meeting
Saturday we fly Young Eagles. If the weather is OK, we fly this Saturday, May 21. It all starts with a pancake breakfast at 8:00 AM, and the plan is to wrap up at 11:00 AM. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we will do it on the next Saturday, May 28.
Last year about 10 of us flew 21 Young Eagles and had a great time. From last year:

Our Last Meeting
Twelve members were at the last meeting to build a segmented circle for traffic guidance at Animas Airpark. A lead team had already cut and painted the 55-gallon drums, so the chore was to clear shrubbery and position the drum-halves, and to pour the concrete base for the windsock tower. Following our usual formula, President Jim bribed the attendees with "healthy donuts" before work was started.

And here is the team doing site preparation and drum positioning.

And here is the final result taken after the concrete cured and the tower was erected.
