Chapter 997 Four Corners Area

Our Next Meeting

Our next meeting is at 9:00 AM, Saturday, April 16 in Del’s Hangar No. 3. After donuts and a brief meeting, we will go work on the segmented circle and windsock at Animas Airport. This has been a committed project for some time and we need all available manpower. The chore is primarily to cut up and paint some barrels. Wouldn’t this experience look good on your resume?

Our Last Meeting

Our last meeting was in Del’s hangar No. 3 on March 16. After Brats and Beer prepared by President Jim, the meeting moved to Doug Brady’s shop to see and hear about the Lancair IV-P that he has under construction. That is Doug explaining some critical details.

That is a Walter 601E turbo-prop propulsion system and expected cruise is 370 mph!!!

This has to be just about the latest and greatest of the glass panel installations. And it even has air-conditioning. The current plan is to complete in time to take it to Oshkosh this year. That should be a quick trip – about 3.0 hours at 370 mph.

The group also got to see Jared Wageman’s conversion of a Tripacer to a Pacer.
